Mmmm, green apples! Did you know that the green apple was discovered in Australia in the 1960s as an accidental seedling in a landfill? It is thought to be a random hybrid of European wild and domestic apples. Ms. Maria Ann Smith, who found it, discovered that the apple is multi-purpose, ie great for both cooking and fresh consumption. She named the new variety Granny Smith and is credited with spreading its popularity. By the 1960s, Granny Smith had become practically synonymous with the apple.

Soap care: In order to extend the life of your handmade soap, use a draining soap dish that will keep the soap dry between uses.
NOTE! The weight of the soap you bring home may differ slightly from the weight stated on the label. That's because artisanal soaps lose weight over time as they dry and the water in the soap evaporates. Also, color variations are possible because colors fade a little over time.
